purpose

The Production Pastor provides both technical leadership and spiritual oversight to ensure distraction-free, Spirit-led worship experiences at Treasure Coast Community Church. This role exists to help people connect with Jesus through excellence in sound, lighting, broadcast, and visual environments. The Production Pastor leads a team of volunteers and staff who serve behind the scenes but lead from the heart—creating systems of excellence that enable powerful, authentic worship. They balance the technical and the spiritual, leading with humility, prayer, and preparation so that every production element supports the mission of connecting people to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Technical Oversight & Systems Leadership
  • Oversee all front-of-house production systems: lighting, LED walls, soundboard, stage design, and broadcast feed.
  • Ensure all systems are functioning with excellence, free from distractions and technical failures.
  • Maintain and upgrade gear in partnership with the XP of Operations, managing budgets, vendors, and repair schedules.
  • Develop written systems and checklists for setup, troubleshooting, and Sunday readiness.
Volunteer Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, and schedule production volunteers; build a healthy leadership pipeline.
  • Provide spiritual care and discipleship for volunteers, leading from prayer and presence, not pressure.
  • Create environments for hands-on learning through Thursday rehearsals and student production nights.
  • Encourage a culture of humility, joy, and shared excellence among the team.
Collaboration & Creative Execution
  • Partner with the Worship Pastor and XP of Experience to translate creative vision into technical reality.
  • Collaborate on service flow, transitions, and storytelling elements that enhance the message.
  • Work closely with the Communications team for visual alignment across all platforms.
  • Evaluate each weekend for improvement opportunities with a spirit of unity and curiosity.
Service Oversight
  • Serve as the production overseer for all services and events, ensuring smooth execution and clear communication.
  • Support worship leaders, communicators, and team members during live production moments.
  • Model flexibility, calm, and faith under pressure, ensuring technical excellence never overshadows spiritual impact.
Systems, Checklists & Excellence Standards
  • Maintain written standard operating procedures for all production roles.
  • Develop and review quality control measures weekly.
  • Document system performance and create quarterly upgrade plans.
  • Lead by example—showing that preparation is worship and excellence honors God.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • 100% of services executed without major technical disruptions.
  • 90% volunteer retention rate and positive feedback on culture.
  • Minimum of two new production volunteers onboarded each quarter.
  • 100% pre-service checklist completion before every service.
  • Quarterly system maintenance and upgrade report submitted.
  • Zero unplanned downtime of major production systems.

90-Day Success Plan

First 30 Days: Orientation & Assessment

  • Audit all production systems and gear; document repair and upgrade needs.
  • Meet with XP of Experience and Worship Pastor to align on service flow and expectations.
  • Build relationships with volunteers and assess skill levels.
  • Key Outcomes: Full system inventory and maintenance plan delivered; Volunteer roster and skill map completed; Pre-service checklist drafted.

Next 30 Days: Structure & Development

  • Launch volunteer training rhythm (Thursday practices + Sunday rotations).
  • Update production manuals and run sheets for all roles.
  • Recruit and onboard new volunteers through connection pathways.
  • Key Outcomes: Active volunteer training schedule; Updated production documentation; Minimum two new volunteers onboarded.

Final 30 Days: Optimize & Lead

  • Implement checklists and pre-service systems.
  • Launch student production nights as a development environment.
  • Deliver first quarterly report to XP of Experience and XP of Operations.
  • Key Outcomes: Fully operational volunteer systems; Student pipeline established; Clear budget and upgrade plan approved.

90-Day Rocks (Measurables)

  • Complete production system inventory and upgrade plan.
  • Launch volunteer training pipeline and student test environment.
  • Implement weekly production checklists and SOPs.
  • Deliver first quarterly report to XP of Experience and XP of Operations.
  • Maintain zero major technical failures for four consecutive Sundays.
